How to get ETH on zKyoto

As of December 10, 2024, there is no Faucet for zKyoto (Astar zkEVM test net) and the following steps must be taken.

Get ETH on Sepolia (one of the Ethtereum testnets)
Bridge ETH from Astar Portal to Sepolia -> zKyoto

Get ETH on Sepolia (one of the Ethtereum testnets)

Go to https://sepoliafaucet.com/.

You will need an Alchemy account, so please do "Please signup or login" to log in or register a new account.

After logging in, enter the wallet address where you want to receive ETH, check "I'm not a robot" and click "Send Me ETH".

If the screen looks like the following, you have succeeded.

You can check the status of ETH delivery from "Your Transactions" and confirm that ETH has been received by Metamask or other wallets.

This is the end of the procedure for obtaining ETH on Sepolia. Next, please proceed to the procedure from Astar Portal.

Bridge ETH from Astar Portal to Sepolia -> zKyoto

Go to https://portal.astar.network/.

Please log in with your wallet first.

After logging in, if the icon in the upper right corner of the screen is not "zKyoto", click the icon to switch from the list of networks.

If you don’t add "zKyoto" to the wallet yet, add it with the following information.
Network Name: zKyoto
New RPC URL: https://rpc.startale.com/zkyoto
Chain ID: 6038361
Currency symbol: ETH
Block explorer URL: https://zkyoto.blockscout.com/

Once the switch is done, each asset on zKatana will be displayed, select the "Bridge" from the ETH section.

When you get to the screen for bridge, enter the amount you want to send from Sepolia to zKyoto and click "Bridge".

If successful, you will see the following screen. The yellow "In Progress" will change to "Completed" after a short wait. You now have ETH that you can use on zKatana.

Done!! Have a great journey with zKyoto!
